Rooted in Vinyasa structure , this practice blends elements of dance and musicality with yoga asanas, creating a dynamic and aesthetic experience. No two classes are alike! All bodies, expressions, modifications and experience levels can do this!
Each practice is divided into two main subsections. The first consists of a brief centering meditation, a thorough warm-up, followed by a quickly-paced and energizing vinyasa (yang) sequence. This process allows heat to build within the body in order to facilitate the release of stress and stagnant energy. Plus it’s fun! This quicker pace, paired with creative transitions and a contemporary playlist harmonizes the energy of the individual with that of the group. The second portion of class is paced much more slowly. Characterized by deeper postures and sustained holds, the aim is to create space for emotional and restorative work in the body. This is the soft (yin) compliment to the dynamic first half of the practice. Class will end with a generous Savasana (resting period) and several moments of quiet contemplation.
